The Audubon PTSA Board is a group of elected volunteers (called officers) who have oversight and accountability for the PTSA's programs and budget. Please take a moment to read the short biographies of each of our talented and hardworking board members.

Meredith Rivin, President communications@audubonptsa.org
Meredith is serving her fifth year on the Audubon PTSA Board, and her second year as President. She is originally from southern California, but has lived in Redmond with her family since 2015. She has a son, Oliver, in 6th grade (Stella School) and a daughter, Emily, in 2nd Grade. In her other life, she works as a paleontologist and works with the Burke Museum in Seattle. She also enjoys drinking coffee, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Serving on the Audubon PTSA has been extremely rewarding, and she values getting to know the students and staff at Audubon so well!

Sarah Rafuse, Secretary Sarah, mom of Beck (5th grade), is excited to serve on the PTSA board for her 4th year, (her 3rd as Secretary). A lifelong Washington resident, Sarah has lived in Redmond with her husband Jeff since 2011. Outside of PTSA, she works as an Employee Benefit Consultant and enjoys traveling, wine, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Sarah is eager to help foster a sense of community and belonging throughout the Audubon community for the 2026-2027 school year. Go Owls!

Andrea Turnbull, Treasurer
Andrea is a stay-at-home mom to Alexis (8th grade, Rose Hill) and Quinn (5th grade). She is a Pacific Northwest native and was formerly a structural engineer. As a volunteer, Andrea is happy helping around the classroom and teaching art docent lessons. When not driving her kids to various activities and otherwise momming, Andrea enjoys reading, music, and gardening.

If your love language is Acts of Service, this is the role for you! The VP of School Services is responsible for managing services that directly benefit our school community and may include recruiting chairs for Emergency Preparation, Hearing and Vision, Morning Valets, Staff Appreciation, Student Photos, Yearbook, and Kindergarten Registration. In addition, they serve as a Special Needs Liaison with the school counselor. This is a vital role that will connect you with Audubon in many important ways. Adriana Balderas, VP Events
Adriana Balderas, mom of Luis (3rd grade), is excited to serve her first year on the Audubon PTSA Board as VP of Events. Originally from Mexico, Adriana is currently on an extended sabbatical after a career in privacy and compliance. She has loved volunteering as a room parent and Art Docent, and helping make the Science Fair and Cultural Night happen last year. Adriana is looking forward to creating joyful, inclusive, and memorable events for all Audubon families.

If you are looking for ways to connect, volunteer for Outreach today! The VP of Outreach provides opportunities for families to come together and feel involved and welcome in the school community and runs our membership drives. Rotem Nimni, VP Enrichment Rotem is a mom of two boys—one in 5th grade at Audubon and one in middle school at Rose Hill. She is happy to support the school community and help create fun and enriching opportunities for students. With a background in program management and community engagement, Rotem loves to travel and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her family.
